Being a photographer means I take so many pictures as a job, that at home wth my own kids I 1) don't have the physical or mental energy to shoot, download or edit as personal projects nearly as much as I want to 2) I tend to fall in love with other photographers that are AMAZING but much too expensive for my little family to hire as of yet.
I may not have felt like it in the moment, but I'm so thankful now that I grabbed these sweet and simple pictures of my gorgeous Charlotte Evangeline.
It was a beautiful day for some garden style maternity and family shoot with Carla and Oliver. We just recently moved to Louisiana from Baton Rouge, and Carla recently relocated here with her family from Peru. Love the way these dreamy pictures turned out!
I had so much fun shooting this lovely preggo and her toddler Fiona! Judah and Fiona are only a day apart in age also, so thats fun. Not only is Melissa a great friend and awesome pastor, she is also a phenomenal harpist.... as in she's-literally-played-for-royalty-in-England good.
She was also so patient while I practiced indoor and low light shooting - something I am still very new at, but so far love!
Sweet Zurey was only a few days old when her mom asked me to take some garden pictures of the two of them. I'm in love with that evening golden glow... and that sweet baby of course!
So happy I was able to meet this sweet little one only two days after his birth. He was so alert and strong, I can hardly wait to see how his personality will develop as he grows.

It is such a beautiful things when a new baby enters the world. I can't wrap my mind around just how marvelous of a miracle life is. How do those little babies fit into us? How do they come out knowing how to sleep and eat and breath. I'm always blown away at how perfect these little humans are, straight from the get-go. Being pretty pregnant myself at the moment, I'm just amazed that one of these little guys (in my case a girl) is inside of me RIGHT NOW.
