I am so glad you are here. I don't know what series of click and searches brought you to this page, but I am thrilled you've come. YOU'RE ENGAGED! Congratulations. Your wedding day will be amazing because IT.IS.YOURS. 

If you want traditional wedding images in all their photoshopped glory, that is great. But I won't be the best fit (but I'll gladly help you find the right photograpaher) but If you want every moment captured, If you value art, If you want  images that remind you of how the day FELT. If you want portraits you are proud to show your grandkids one day. If you want a photographer who will guard the peace and joy of your day AND give you freakin gorgeous pictures (if I do say so myself) with my life, then I think we should chat!.

Hellooooo its me! Christi Childs!

I AM THE GIRL-BOSS BEHIND THE PICTURE PEOPLE LA! SO WHEN I SAY "US" I KINDA JUST MEAN "ME"... 

Hey friends! So glad you stumbled across my happy little corner of the internet.

I've always wanted to be a photographer, but not a traditional portrait photographer. Growing up we had a family friend named Amy who always captured the most beautiful pictures that were so full of life and emotion and definitely a long way off from anything budget or studio. I wanted to be her when I grew up and became a mom. A photographer who captures life and emotions and also creates beautiful art. 

Well fast forward 20 years, and viola! I've traveled the globe, finished school  I'm a mother to two beautiful babies and a Work from home mom-boss photographer who focuses on capturing emotion and all the feels. so basically I'm living my dream, and I couldn't be more grateful. My other dream is to start vocational homes for girls who have been rescued from sex trafficking, but that is a story for another day. 

I don't want to just take pretty pictures (although, i do love pretty pictures) I want to share your love, your story, and save it in a little time capsule for you to have forever, 

Our Story

Christi was from a small town outside Portland, Oregon, and Trae grew up in  Sub- Saharan Africa as a missionary kid. We met while attending school at ORU in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Trae had just moved from West Africa, and Christi had been to Uganda several times, so a love for international travel and missions was definitely what brought us together initially. We were married 3 years later in Washington state, and after living another year in Tulsa working and taking every opportunity to embark on loooong road-trips and hiking adventures, we moved to Daegu, South Korea to teach English. During our time in Korea we backpacked all over S.E. Asia, met amazing people, and most importantly, had our son Judah. After several months of spending time with family in West Africa and Oregon we moved to begin a new chapter of our lives in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

When you work with us, you get to keep your digital files. You can print awesome, high quality images through us (which we highly recommend), but we will release printing rights so you can choose how to print your pictures. 

We also include a user friendly online gallery that you can use to share your images anywhere*. We also will include a high resolution folder for printing, and another folder with web-sized images for sharing on social media.
