Abi and I became friends while we were both overseas in West Africa. She was volunteering at my in-law's ministry, and we were visiting for several months. This trip ended up being an incredibly challenging and bonding experience for all of us (But I don't get into that now!) but I was so excited when months later she called me to see if I would work with Amy Zehring to capture her special day. Amy was over the formals and I was covering getting ready, rehearsal, capturing emotions and the rest of the family.
It was one of the sweetest most intimate weddings I have ever been to, very much about the families coming together and the beautiful union happening, and less about the traditional pomp-and-curcumstance that often accompanies wedding.
